World's first artificial enzymes
created using synthetic DNA-like molecules
Scientists at the
UK Medical Research Council (MRC) have created the world’s first
enzymes made from artificial genes. Their synthetic enzymes, which
do not occur anywhere in nature, are capable of triggering chemical
