Pioneering laparoscopic device showcased at Medica
17 November 2009
A world-leading laparoscopic device will be exhibited at
Medica by Leeds company Surgical Innovations.
LogiFlex is a flexible laparoscopic device which uses pioneering flex
technology to offer surgeons better rigidity during delicate surgical
procedures.
Launched in Paris in August, the device is made from 'resposable'
technology, which delivers the cost effectiveness of a reusable
instrument but has the optimum performance of a disposable instrument.
It has been specially developed in conjunction with laparoscopic
surgeons, who understand the needs of clinicians and patients and is
proving to be a successful alternative to traditional disposal
instruments in hospitals around the world.
The award-winning company is recognised as highly innovative and
progressive within the medical device industry and is looking forward to
exhibiting their unique laparoscopic devices at the world's largest
medical technology exhibition this week.
Graham Bowland, Managing Director of Surgical Innovations Ltd, said:
“Medica is a platform for innovation and we are pleased to be able to
showcase out pioneering flex technology at the show.”
“Attended by thousands, the congress will give us an opportunity to
talk to international surgeons about their individual needs and also
meet with our dedicated team of worldwide distributors to further
enhance relationships.”
