Ingen Technologies to launch second-generation OxyALERT
1 February 2005
CALIMESA, Calif. Ingen Technologies, a medical device manufacturer and
service provider for medical and consumer markets, announced today that it
has received approval to complete the final phase of development for
OxyALERT(TM), the Company's flagship product. Over $4 million has been
invested in the development of OxyALERT since 2003.
OxyALERT(TM) is a device that can detect the remaining time of oxygen
flow within an oxygen cylinder. A small remote receiver is carried by the
patient, care giver or pilot, and provides a digital LCD display of
information regarding the oxygen supply.
Scott Sand, CEO & Chairman of Ingen Technologies, stated, "Our engineers
have completed the new design and have started the final production model of
OxyALERT(TM). There is no current competition, and our patent was approved
with 20 applications. This would be very hard to duplicate without
infringement."
Sand continued, "There are currently, 8 million oxygen-tank users in the
United States, and hundreds of thousands of small aircraft, which require
reliable and accurate devices on their oxygen supplies. The Company has
global distribution networks to market OxyALERT and expects to generate $30
million within the first 18 months of production."
