Oxford BioSignals
Oxford BioSignals
(OBS) has developed monitoring software applications which are being
successfully applied across the healthcare, aviation, defence, marine and
power industries.
Founded in 2000, OBS is a ‘spin-out’ company based around research
originally developed at Oxford University.
OBS’ BioSign product is a multi-parameter patient monitoring and smart alert
device that identifies physiological deterioration in a patients overall
condition. BioSign uses data fusion technology to generate a composite
representation of a patient’s condition.
BioSign technology provides a new way to effectively monitor a patients
condition, integrating all of a patient’s vital signs including heart rate,
respiration rate, body temperature, oxygen saturation, and non-invasive
blood pressure into a BioSign Index.
In addition to BioSign, OBS’ technology covers a range of applications
including BioSomniaTM a innovative sleep analysis system, and QUICKTM
industrial condition monitoring applications spanning aero-engines, defence,
marine and power.
